12/01/04 - We are very happy to announce that Activision has used Throttlerod's "In the Flood" in their new video game "American Chopper". Check it out.

Looks like we'll be heading into a NYC studio soon to record our 3rd full-length album. Details to come.

10/13/04 - Thanks to everyone coming out to support the release of Throttlerod's new, limited edition EP, Starve the Dead. Extra special thanks goes out to Zach Guttery for helping out with guitar parts. Everyone should go check out his bands The Disease and The Bittmerman.

The Columbia folks got a special treat when Travis Nicholson (Death Valley Driver and ex Throttlerod) joined Throttlerod on stage for one hell of a version of Honest Joe. Thanks, Travis.

There's some big news coming...stay tuned.

10/03/04 - We opened for Lynyrd Skynyrd and The Allman Brothers this weekend. What a blast and what an honor that was! Thanks to Dave, Jim, Robby, and Zach for helping make it all happen smoothly.

9/18/04 - We are now taking pre-orders for Starve the Dead! The first 50 orders get free shipping and 4 free buttons. Orders will start being shipped on October 4th. Click the link to the left to buy. Check out the Music page for a near CD quality track off the EP.

Oh yeah, everyone tune in to Y101 in Richmond (www.y101rocks.com) to hear Throttlerod perform 3 acoustic songs on the radio. 7PM 9/19/04.

8/29/04 - Got the good news today that Throttlerod will be playing at the Alltel Pavilion in Raleigh with Lynyrd Skynyrd and The Allman Brothers on October 1.

8/19/04 - Today was a sad day for the extended Throttlerod family. Dene Nicholson (brother of our original bass player, Travis) died following a terrible motorcycle accident. Dene was a great guy and will be missed tremendously. Our deepest sympathy goes out to his wife, daughter, and the rest of his family. "Damn, Travis, we ain't cowboys."

8/04/04 - Throttlerod just finished a two weekend run with Brand New Sin and Soundevice. Thanks to both bands for rocking so hard and helping push us to play our very best every night. Extra thanks to BNS and their crew (especially Chucky Love) for going out of their way to support and help us (and for putting up with our drunk asses). Look for more Throttlerod/Brand New Sin shows in September.

7/18/04 - Just a quick update to let you know what we're up to...Next week, we take a break from working on new material to hit the road with Brand New Sin. Also joining us will be Soundevice from Atlanta. We will be playing a lot earlier than usual on these shows, so make sure you come out by about 9:00 each night. We will (finally) also have some new shirts for sale at the shows.

The artwork for our upcoming EP, Starve the Dead, is complete and we should have them manufactured and ready to sell shortly.

6/09/04 - Everyone needs to check out the August '04 issue of Guitar World for a nice little 1 page article with a picture of Throttlerod and a review of Hell and High Water.

4/27/04 - We've added more radio stations to the list that are playing Throttlerod including y101 in Richmond. Click on Radio at the top and get busy requesting.

We've also added some new pictures to the Images section. Street Team/E-Team details are currently being finalized, so make sure you sign up.

4/12/04 - Throttlerod and the rest of the Small Stone bands are now available from the iTunes store brought to you by Apple Computers.

3/25/04 - ** UPDATE** We just learned that this station has been bought and will now be an f-ing sports channel. We just learned that WBZB in Raleigh, NC has had more requests for Throttlerod than any other band in history! Over 30 a week. You can help keep this up by calling their request line.

WBZB is the only station in the country that plays nothing but local music. You should support them even if you don't live in North Carolina. Head to www.wbzb.com and start listening online.

Lastly, a few more reviews have been added to the Press page. Check them out.

3/21/04 - Thanks to everyone who came out to support us on our way to SXSW! It was great to meet so many new people and to see so many old friends again. We will see you all again real soon!

Our new EP, Starve the Dead, is currently being mastered and should be ready in the next couple of months. Stay tuned for more information.

3/06/04 - You can now download flyers and handbills from the Tour page. Help get people out to shows by putting up flyers and passing out handbills. Let us know how you're helping and we'll get you into shows for free.

2/24/04 - Last night we finished tracking our new EP, Starve the Dead, in an empty house here in Richmond, VA. Andrew Schneider will be mixing at New Alliance Studios in Boston March 8-10. More information on the release soon.

2/05/04 - We have 8 very nice Brian Mercer tour posters for sale if anyone wants one. Price is $10 and includes shipping. Email us if you want to get your hands on one. Here's what they look like.

1/22/04 - A few random pictures from the studio and from a night on tour have been added to the Pictures section. More to come.

1/20/04 - We just spent the last 3 days inside a NYC studio with Andrew Schneider recording some songs for an upcoming Throttlerod EP. This EP contains a handful of more mellow, moody tunes that are quite different from "traditional Throttlerod". This will be a limited pressing kind of thing, so keep checking back for details.
